MISSIONS
GIBC is thrilled to participate in the spread of God’s kingdom around the world. We encourage all of our people to respond to God’s call for laborers, whether it means that they minister in a foreign country or in our own community. This is accomplished by our weekly door-to-door visitation, as well as providing financial and prayer support to missionaries.
TEACHING
GIBC members are actively involved in teaching Sunday School, children’s church and Saturday classes. Our members also have teaching opportunities during our Vacation Bible Schools in June and December.
PRAYER
The power of prayer cannot be overestimated. Prayer moves the hand of God. GIBC is a body of believers dependent upon prayer and committed to God’s sovereignty. Prayer is an integral part of our Sunday School classes and Worship Services. Throughout the week, urgent prayer requests are communicated through a prayer chain. Each Sunday morning at 9:00, the church members come together for a time of praise and prayer.
MUSIC
Christ-honoring worship is something we strive for. Music is an integral part of worship, and many of our church members are involved in our music ministry. Some play their instruments. Others are involved in the choir. Others lead music during our children's clubs. These volunteers are an important part of the ministry of GIBC, using their talents and gifts to glorify God.
MEDIA &
TECHNOLOGY
Using media to spread the gospel is a privilege! In an age of widespread technology, we have a stewardship to use these tools as best as possible for kingdom purposes. All of our weekly sermons are uploaded to our website. We also maintain a Facebook feed for additional church communication.
FACILITIES
Every church needs a team of people to take care
of the church building
and do weekly clean-up.
Our willing team does this on a weekly basis,
as well as on church workdays each year.
FOOD &
FELLOWSHIP
Each week a refreshment team prepares lunch over which our church family can fellowship after the Sunday Morning Worship Service. For special events like Easter, Christmas, and Church Anniversary, each family brings a dish
to share.
USHERS &
GREETERS
The usher team at GIBC fills an important role. They are involved in directing attendees to their seats, guiding traffic, helping visitors, and ensuring that the service can proceed smoothly. The greeter team each week serves in welcoming visitors and making them feel at home. The usher and greeter team is a servant-hearted group of men and women whose ministry is integral to church life.
